§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make it his policy that there will be no compulsory redundancies resulting from the subsumation of the Crown Agents into the Overseas Development Agency.
§ Mr. RaisonNo member of staff of the Overseas Development Administration will lose his or her job or be compulsorily transferred as a result of the merger of the Crown Agents' pensions division with the Overseas Development Administration. There will be staff savings in the area of work currently handled by the Crown Agents' pensions division as a result of the merger, but the Crown Agents' management and my officials are working closely together with a view to avoiding redundancies among Crown Agents' staff.
