§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish a table in the Official Report showing for each month from 1 November 1985 to date the number of deaths of (a) civilians, (b) Regular Army, (c) Ulster Defence Regiment, (d) Royal Ulster Constabulary and (e) Royal Ulster Constabulary Reserve caused by terrorist activity and specify in respect of which terrorist organisation there has been a claim of, or evidence of, responsibility.
§ Mr. Scott[Pursuant to his reply, 17 July 1986, c. 622–23]: The numbers of deaths since 1 November 1985 for which terrorists are believed to have been responsible, and the categories into which they fall, are as follows:
663WWhilst it is not possible to be certain in every case, Republican terrorist organisations are thought to have been responsible for 31 of these deaths and Loyalist terrorist organisations for the remaining seven.
