HC Deb 25 July 1986 vol 102 c686W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Attorney-General if he will publish a list of all the bodies in Wales to which he or the Lord Chancellor have sole or joint responsibility for making appointments.

The Attorney-General

The meaning of the expression "bodies" is not clear. On the basis that it includes tribunals but excludes courts of law, the Lord Chancellor has responsibility for making appointments to the following tribunals, some of whose members sit in Walesindustrial tribunals, social security appeal tribunals, medical appeal tribunals, mental health review tribunals, agricultural land tribunals and the rent assessment panel.

I make no appointments to bodies in Wales.
