§ Mr. Loydenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he plans any change in his policy on irradiated and novel foods in the light of the report of the advisory committee on irradiated and novel foods;
(2) what reply he is making to the response of the Liverpool, Central and Southern community health council to the report submitted by the advisory committee on irradiated and novel foods.
§ Mr. WhitneyThe Liverpool central and southern community health council is being informed that its views will be taken fully into account, along with those of other organisations, when Ministers formally consider the advice in the report. At present, we have no plans further to amend the Food (Control of Irradiation) Regulations, 1967.
