Mr. McNamara

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will give separately for magistrates' courts and Crown Courts for the first six months of the current year the number of cases involving non-scheduled offences in which pleas of not guilty were entered; in how many of these cases verdicts of not guilty were returned; and in how many of these cases trial was by jury;

(2) how many persons were charged with non-scheduled offences, how many were charged with scheduled offences and how many persons were found not guilty of all or some of the offences with which they were charged in the first six months of the current year.

(3) if anyone has been made amenable for the murder claimed to have been committed by Protestants of Patrick Barnard in South Tyrone on 17 March 1976; and if he will give details;

(4) if anyone has been made amenable for the murder claimed to have been committed by Protestants of Andrew Small in South Tyrone on 17 March 1976; and if he will give details;

(5) if anyone has been made amenable for the murder claimed to have been committed by Protestants of Joseph Kelly in South Tyrone on 17 March 1976; and if he will give details;

(6) if anyone has been made amenable for the murder claimed to have been committed by the IRA of Ronnie Crooks in South Tyrone on 23 April 1976; and if he will give details;
