Mr. Viggers

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many students have qualified at ordinary level, advanced level and at degree standard in each of the following languages in each of the last five years (a) French, (b) German, (c) Spanish, (d) Russian and (e) Chinese.

Numbers of public sector students graduating in individual languages are not available. The available figures of students qualifying at each level are given in the following tables.
