asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has about the progress of the inquiry into the conduct of Mr. John Stalker as deputy chief constable of Greater Manchester.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has yet received any information as to whether the inquiry into the conduct of Mr. John Stalker, deputy chief constable of Greater Manchester, has been concluded; and if he will make a statement.

This is a matter for the Greater Manchester police authority, which has appointed the chief constable of West Yorkshire to conduct the investigation; he is acting under the supervision of the Police Complaints Authority.
