HC Deb 24 July 1986 vol 102 c346W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Paymaster General how many companies have yet to submit full safety cases under the Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazard Regulations 1984, together with the number which so far have submitted such cases; and if he will make a statement with special reference to the views expressed to his Department by the Chemical Industries Association.

Mr. Trippier

Up to 31 March 1986, 29 companies had submitted safety cases to the Health and Safety Executive for consideration. Another 243 companies are required to submit safety cases by 8 July 1989.

Ministers in the Department have received no recent representations from the Chemical Industries Association on safety cases.
