HC Deb 24 July 1986 vol 102 cc371-2W
Mr. Shore

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the current housing investment programme allocation to each of the London boroughs.

Sir George Young

HIP allocations for 1986–87 are at column 1. Most boroughs supplement their allocations with the prescribed proportion of available capital receipts. They therefore spend well above their basic allocations; provisional expenditure figures for 1985–86 are at column 2.

Mr. John Fraser

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consideration he proposes to give in the next allocation of housing investment programme moneys to Lambeth borough council to the demand for house renovation grants along with other demands on resources for housing in Lambeth.

Sir George Young

Decisions on the method of allocating housing resources for 1987–88 will be taken in the autumn in the usual way, after consultation with the local authority associations.
