HC Deb 24 July 1986 vol 102 c489W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many officials of his Department are currently engaged on the search of records relating to British prisoners of war interrogated by Dr. Kurt Waldheim and German army group E during world war II; if he will take steps to increase the resources devoted to this search to a level which will permit a statement to be made on the outcome before the House rises for the summer Adjournment; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Freeman

Up to 12 officials from the Ministry of Defence are involved in various aspects of the search: these resources are adequate but it is unlikely that the search will be complete before the House rises.
