§ Mr. PattieThe unit reviewed the problems arising from counterfeiting of goods. The Government are as determined as ever to combat counterfeiting, and look forward to early adoption of proposed European Community legislation. We shall work in the forthcoming GATT negotiations for adoption of a code on counterfeiting. My Department's new unfair trade unit follows up individual complaints about international trading practices, including counterfeiting.
