§ 17. Mr. Campbell-Savoursasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make a statement on his latest assessment of the impact of radionuclides on the environment arising from the Chernobyl incident.
§ Mr. WaldegraveMy Department published a leaflet in May 1986 on the assessment of the levels of radioactivity in the United Kingdom from the accident at Chernobyl. A copy has been placed in the Library of the House. Its conclusions remain valid. NRPB is undertaking a more detailed analysis which will be published in due course.
