§ Mr. Whitney[pursuant to his reply, 21 July 1986, c. 104]: Personal social services pay and prices indices on the same basis as post-1973 figures are not readily available for earlier years. Cash and deflated expenditure figures are therefore shown only for years where all three deflator figures can be applied.
