§ Dr. David Clarkasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government support a zero growth budget policy for the forestry, agriculture and environment/natural resources offices of those multilateral development agencies in which the United Kingdom has an active interest.
§ Mr. EggarWe favour zero real growth in the overall budgets of those United Nations specialised agencies which are financed by assessed contributions, and generally in the administrative budgets of other multilateral agencies. We expect the pattern of expenditure within these budgets to reflect current priorities.
