What is the present total of the surplus of milk products, cereals, oil seeds, beef and sugar in the EC and what are the percentages of these held in Britain.

A note setting out the volume of intervention stocks in the United Kingdom and the European Community on the latest available dates is deposited in the Libraries of both Houses and is updated monthly. The information in the most recent note dated 26th June shows that the UK holds the following percentages of EC stocks of milk products, cereals, oilseeds, beef and sugar:

Milk products 13.7 per cent.
Cereals 33.2 per cent.
Beef (EC 11, not Portugal) 12.6 per cent.
Oilseeds NIL
Sugar NIL
