§ Mr. JoplingA negotiated settlement of this case has been reached. Parliamentary approval for the relevant payment will be sought in a Supplementary Supply Estimate for class IV, vote 5. Pending that approval, this urgent payment of about £3..5 million to cover damages, interest and costs will be met by a repayable advance from the Contingencies Fund.
