HC Deb 21 July 1986 vol 102 c64W
Mr. Bill Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he is yet in a position to respond to the Civil Aviation Authority's recommendations on traffic distribution for the London area, contained in CAP 522; and what assessment he has made of the effects on air services between Dundee, Carlisle and Heathrow.

Mr. Neale

asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has reached any decisions on the Civil Aviation Authority's advice on air traffic distribution in the London area (CAP 522).

Mr. Pollock

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he is yet in a position to respond to the Civil Aviation Authority's advice on traffic distribution rules for the London airports contained in CAP 522.

Mr. Michael Spicer

My right hon. Friend has today written to Mr. Christopher Tugendhat, chairman of the CAA, responding to the authority's advice and indicating those traffic distribution rules which we propose to make as soon as section 31 of the Airports Act 1986 comes into force. I have placed copies of the letter in the Library.
