§ The Prime MinisterThe Cabinet Office's 1985–86 running costs, excluding the Management and Personnel Office, were approximately £14,116,000. There were 503 staff employed in post at 31 March 1986. No political advisers were employed. Three specialist advisers were employed on a fee-paid basis at various times in the financial year.
