HL Deb 17 July 1986 vol 478 c1081WA
Lord Mulley

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What representations they have received concern-ing the recently licensed Music Box programme presented throughout the night by Yorkshire TV; and whether they are satisfied that no breach of the Broadcasting Act 1981, in particular of section 8(6), is involved by excessive advertising time.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Home Office (Lord Glenarthur)

We received about a dozen letters from honourable Members of another place and the public. It is for the IBA to satisfy itself that this experimental service is conducted within the terms of the Broadcasting Act 1981.
