§ 25. Mr. Michael McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the current deployment of security forces in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. StanleyCurrently 10 regular battalions and nine battalions of the Ulster Defence Regiment are deployed in Northern Ireland in support of the Royal Ulster constabulary. Additional support is provided by other Army units and elements of the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.
