§ The Prime MinisterThe latest available figures show that for the period September 1985-February 1986 the value of strategic defence initiative research contracts let by the United States Government was almost US$600 million. The total value of SDI research contracts awarded to the United Kingdom so far amounts to US$15.5 million.
