§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe Department and London Regional Transport are in regular touch about the programme of work in hand to improve assessment techniques for bus lanes. When consultations about this work are complete, the Department will prepare technical guidance notes for all traffic management authorities. This will enable them to take a soundly based view on the benefits and costs of particular lanes in London and elsewhere.
