HL Deb 09 July 1986 vol 478 c446WA
The Earl of Mansfield

asked Her Majesty's Government:

If they propose any change in the areas in Scotland within which the movement and slaughter of sheep are controlled under the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (No. 2) Order 1986.

The Minister of State, Scottish Office (Lord Gray of Contin)

Monitoring results now justify some relaxation of the restrictions imposed on 24th June, and a fresh order has been made today the effect of which is to remove from controls 18 parishes in the eastern part of Dumfries and Galloway. Full details along with the monitoring results for these and other areas are being issued by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland today and I shall arrange for them to be placed in the Library of the House.
