§ Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on the circumstances in which a vessel crashed into Southend pier on 30 June; and if he will initiate an inquiry into this incident.
§ Mr. MooreA marine surveyor has been appointed under section 728 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894 to inquire into the circumstances attending this incident. On completion of his investigation a decision will be taken on further action.
