§ Mrs. RumboldThe Government have no plans at present to amend schedule 5 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to extend the protection currently afforded to hedgehogs by schedule 6 to the Act. I am advised that the hedgehog is not considered an endangered or declining species.
