§ Mrs. FennerMy officials have kept in close contact with interested organisations during current negotiations on this directive in Brussels. We have received comments at various stages from representatives of the frozen food industry, refrigeration engineers, consumer groups and enforcement authorities.
We still wish to avoid adoption of a directive in a form which would impose unacceptable burdens on industry and we will therefore continue to seek modifications to the proposals to make them more acceptable.
