§ 48. Mr. Meadowcroftasked the Minister for the Arts what plans he has to help young people not in school to participate in musical performance.
§ Mr. LuceThe Arts Council expects all its clients to engage in educational activity, encouraging young people to participate.
The council has budgeted £70,000 for musical education in 1986–87, and the regional arts associations 86W will also be spending considerable sums on this. A substantial proportion will be spent on projects not involving schools.
