HC Deb 07 July 1986 vol 101 cc6-7W
Dr. McDonald

asked the Prime Minister if she will allow time for consultation and a full discussion of any recommendations of the review team on the future of the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys, before any changes are implemented.

The Prime Minister

The review team is conducting a number of discussions. These have included meetings with Office of Population Censuses and Surveys trade union side representatives at London, Southport and Titchileld. I shall consider what further discussions or consultations are appropriate when the review team has made its recommendations.

Dr. McDonald

asked the Prime Minister if, in the light of the current machinery of the Government review of the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys, she will make a statement about the continued existence of the social survey division of the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys.

The Prime Minister

No. The review is still in progress.
