§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Northern Ireland Office (Lord Lyell)The Life Sentence Review Board is chaired by the Permanent Under-Secretary of the Northern Ireland Office. Its membership comprises other senior Northern Ireland Office officials, a principal medical officer of the Department of Health and Social Services, a consultant psychiatrist and the chief probation officer. It would not be appropriate to give names or further details about individual board members.
