HL Deb 03 July 1986 vol 477 c1150WA
The Countess of Mar

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will state the reason for the withdrawal by the Unit Management Group at the General Hospital, Birmingham, of a secretarial presence at the Oncology/Radiotherapy Clinic at the Royal Infirmary, Worcester.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health and Social Security (Baroness Trumpington)

I understand that Central Birmingham Health Authority has decided to continue to fund this secretarial post. During the next twelve months it will however be considering whether a more appropriate method of funding secretarial posts in outlying clinics like Worcester can be found.
