§ Mr. Hoyleasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether British Nuclear Fuels plc has decided to discontinue flights from Liverpool; which further airport will be used for the transport of plutonium to Dounreay; 490W and if he will introduce legislation to provide that such use of an airport be subject to the approval of the local authority.
§ Mr. Michael SpicerI am not aware of any such decision. The choice of airports for any future consignments would reflect convenience and suitability. I see no need for the legislative provision suggested.
