asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what plans his Department has to protect the United Kingdom from rabies when the Channel tunnel is built;

(2) what plans his Department has to protect United Kingdom farmers and their stock from foot and mouth disease when the Channel tunnel is built.
