§ Mr. Michael SpicerMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment received the inspector's report in September 1985. Complex issues were raised at the public inquiries including a proposal for an alternative route. Consideration of these issues is necessarily taking some time but I hope that an announcement will not be long delayed.
