A few have indicated formally or informally that they do not 245W expect to submit bids for 1985–86 and press reports suggest that others will not settle details until the present teachers' disruption ceases.

§ Mr. Chris PattenNo such advice has been issued to LEAs or education committee chairmen. We have made it clear that it is entirely for LEAs to decide who should be employed.
