§ Mr. Alan ClarkThe following lists show the five industry groups with the highest incidence rates of reported injuries to employees, in 1984 from accidents arising in connection with work. The groups are listed in alphabetical order.
For reported fatal injuries For reported major injuries Agriculture Bricks, pottery, glass, cement etc. Construction Construction Metal manufacture Metal manufacture Mining and Quarrying Mining and Quarrying Railways Timber, furniture etc. The industry groups are those for which reports of accidents are made to the Health and Safety Executive and agencies of the Health and Safety Commission under the Notification of Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations, 1980.
