§ Mr. John MacKayThis question can be answered only at disproportionate cost concerning premises and persons for which my right hon. and learned Friend has direct responsibility. Crown immunity, as an immunity from a requirement to comply with statutory provisions, applies mainly to the Food and Drugs (Scotland) Act 1956, Control of Pollution Act 1974, the Rents Acts and the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Acts in respect of the Secretary of State and his agents, directly executing responsibility in the National Health Service, such as health boards.
