HL Deb 21 January 1986 vol 470 cc226-8WA
Lord Melchett

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have yet been able to take a view as to whether or not the requirements of the planning permission for the extraction of peat from Duich Moss on Islay have been infringed by the work involved in digging the peripheral drain on the southern boundary of the Phase 1 area covered by planning permission, as suggested by the Nature Conservancy Council.

The Minister of State, Scottish Office (Lord Gray of Contin)

This matter has been referred to Argyll and Bute District Council in view of its responsibility, as the planning authority, for considering appropriate action on any alleged breach of planning control.
