§ Sir John Farrasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will state the current situation in relation to the scale of remuneration for speech therapists.
§ Mr. WhitneyAgreement has been reached on increased salary scales with effect from 1 April 1985, and this was notified to health authorities on 27 November 1985. The new scales represented an increase of 4.81 per cent. on previous rates. The agreement did not provide for increases in allowances and the overall value of the settlement was 4.7 per cent. This was the value of all agreements reached for National Health Service staff whose remuneration is negotiated on Whitley councils.
