§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will update to 1983 and, if possible 1984, table 34.41 of "Social Security Statistics 1984", or provide such information as is available relating to receipt of the long-term supplementary benefit rate and additional requirements; and if he will give figures for the number of carers receiving the long term supplementary benefit rate.
§ Mr. NewtonSocial security statistics giving the 1983 figures will be published in March. The information requested is provided in table 10.4 of Supplementary Benefit Statistics, Annual Inquiry December 1983, a copy of which is in the Library. It is regretted that information for 1984 is not yet available.
