asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether there will be any change in entry clearance fees for 1986.

Yes: with effect from 1st January entry clearance fees will be increased and amended as follows:

Visitors (including students, passengers in transit, working holidaymakers and au pairs). £12
Multiple entry clearances in the above categories £24
Applications lodged on behalf of those applying for settlement or long-term stay in the United Kingdom £25

The last fee will be non-refundable.

Transit visas will be subsumed into the visitors grouping.
