§ Mr. MellorInformation on notifiable offences recorded by the police in England and Wales in the first three quarters of 1985 was published in "Home Office Statistical Bulletin", issue 34/85 on 11 December 1985. The number of offences in 1978 was published in the report on criminal statistics for that year (Cmnd. 7670).
