§ Mr. Robert B. Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the facilities to be provided in phase 1 of the Hemel Hempstead general hospital; and when it is due to be completed.
§ Mr. WhitneyThe Hemel Hempstead general hospital phase 1 will provide 84 acute beds, an intensive care unit, an outpatients' department, an X-ray department, three operating theatres, rehabilitation services, catering and other supporting services. The estimated date for building completion is September 1986, following which a period of commissioning takes place before the hospital is opened.
