§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer in what respects the 1986 EEC budget adopted by the European Assembly differed from the budget approved by the EEC Council with regard to income.
§ Mr. BrookeThe additional expenditure contained in the adopted budget for 1986, some 629 mecu (£385 million) was to be financed by larger VAT contributions from member states. Within the 1.4 per cent. VAT ceiling, the amount of VAT own resources at the uniform rate was increased in the adopted budget to 20,658,083,453 ecu.
