§ Mr. Michael Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action is being taken to establish the sources of product available to parallel importers, and in particular to Stephar Formaceutische Produkten whose registered address in the United Kingdom is Barclays Bank Ltd., Walton, Norfolk.
§ Mr. HayhoeApplicants for parallel import product licences are required to give the name of the European Community member state from which the medicinal product is to be imported, the product name and marketing authorisation reference number in the member state, the name and address of the holder of the marketing authorisation and of the manufacturers covered by that authorisation, the name and address of the European suppliers of the product and information about known movements of the product before it reached those suppliers.
Confirmation of the name and address of the manufacturer (among other things) is sought from the member state.
Any applications received from Stephar Formaceutische Produkten would be dealt with in the same way as applications received from any other parallel importer.
