HC Deb 26 February 1986 vol 92 c603W
Mr. Andrew Bowden

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many district health authorities provide chiropody services under the National Health Service free of charge to all women between the ages of 60 years and 65 years; and what are the average, longest and shortest, waiting times for chiropody treatment under the National Health Service.

Mr. Hayhoe

I regret that information is not collected centrally in the form requested. However, 41 district health authorities can be identified from statistical returns as providing chiropody services in the community to women aged 60–64 in 1984 and other authorities may also do so. Chiropody treatment is provided as necessary to hospital in-patients. Information on waiting times for chiropody is not collected centrally.
