Mr. Ron Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many people were employed in Wales, by county, part-time and full-time, male, female, and under 25 years of age, at the latest available date; and how these figures compare with the comparable figures in 1982 and 1979.

Information for the date requested is not available. However, information for the Welsh counties and Wales is given in the table. These are employees of all ages, an analysis by age not being available. The figures relate to June 1978 and September 1981, the latest dates for which data are available. Comparisons between these two dates will be affected by seasonal factors.
