asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has had about the potential danger arising from the unrestricted sale of crossbows; and if he will make a statement.

Since January 1985 we have received 22 letters about crossbows from hon. Members and 19 from members of the public. I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Plymouth, Drake (Miss Fookes) on 3 February, at column 5.
