§ Mr. HayhoeThe United Kingdom working group on breast cancer screening has considered the evidence from the Swedish and other important overseas studies of breast cancer screening by mammography. This is reviewed in the group's interim report, copies of which have been placed in the Library. The group will submit its final report later this year. This will set out the policy options for the development of breast cancer screening, their costs and benefits, and overall implications for the National Health Service.
