How many requests from the Nature Conservancy Council for an order under Section 29 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 in respect of a Site of Scientific Interest notified prior to 1981 have been refused.
§ Lord EltonOne. Brimham Rocks site of special scientific interest was notified in 1958. An order under Section 29 of the Wildlife and Countryside act 1981 in respect of the site was refused in February 1985. The site is currently protected under the provisions of Section 28 of the Act.
