§ Mr. TraceyThe Government's policy is set out in the Department of the Environment's circular 14/84. It confirms that planning permission should not be given, except in very special circumstances, to develop land inside a green belt for purposes other than agriculture, sport, cemeteries, institutions standing in extensive grounds and other uses appropriate to rural area.
